GOBLETS
Goblets are fancy drinking glasses. Often used for toasts, the majority of the goblets Tom makes are intended for couples making their first toast at their wedding. In honor of that event, many of these goblets have an interwoven pair of captive rings on the stem. A ring is a circle; a line that never ends. In a wedding, it symbolizes the love a couple feels for each other, which, hopefully, will also never end. These goblets feature a pair of rings on the stem, which are intertwined to symbolize the way the couple’s love for each other intertwines. Goblets can be ordered with rings made from mixed wood types (as shown in the Modern Style Maple and Black Walnut goblet, below), without rings, or, with as many rings as desired.
